Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Field Assistant to support our Party Chief in daily field operations. This role is ideal for a recent graduate in geomatics, surveying, or civil engineering technology, or for someone with relevant experience who is looking to grow within a well-established firm.

This position offers hands-on mentorship and the opportunity to develop technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals. For the right individual, this role can serve as a strong foundation for long-term advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Party Chief with field survey operations and project execution

  • Set up and operate survey equipment (total stations, GPS units, levels, etc.)

  • Collect, record, and verify accurate field data

  • Maintain and transport equipment and materials

  • Perform physical tasks such as clearing brush and maintaining line of sight

  • Adhere to company safety standards and best practices

  • Represent the firm professionally on client sites


Qualifications

  • Diploma or certificate in Geomatics, Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience

  • Basic knowledge of surveying principles and equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

  • Physically capable of performing demanding field work
