Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Field Assistant to support our Party Chief in daily field operations. This role is ideal for a recent graduate in geomatics, surveying, or civil engineering technology, or for someone with relevant experience who is looking to grow within a well-established firm.
This position offers hands-on mentorship and the opportunity to develop technical skills while working alongside experienced professionals. For the right individual, this role can serve as a strong foundation for long-term advancement within the company.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Party Chief with field survey operations and project execution
Set up and operate survey equipment (total stations, GPS units, levels, etc.)
Collect, record, and verify accurate field data
Maintain and transport equipment and materials
Perform physical tasks such as clearing brush and maintaining line of sight
Adhere to company safety standards and best practices
Represent the firm professionally on client sites
Qualifications
Diploma or certificate in Geomatics, Surveying Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience
Basic knowledge of surveying principles and equipment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
Physically capable of performing demanding field work
